Crater Lake has inspired artists for generations, and now there is an Artist-in-Residence program at Crater Lake National Park
Crater Lake has inspired artists for generations. Hundreds of photographers and painters have attempted to reflect its beauty, and the park has even inspired its own waltz! The Park and its partners work to encourage exploration and understanding of the park through the arts.
One notable example is the Artist-in-Residence program. Through this program, artists can apply to receive two weeks of free lodging in the park, either in winter or fall, to pursue their particular art form.
