This is the website of the Crater Lake National Park Trust. During your visit to the website, you remain anonymous. You are not required to provide personal information to view this site, and we collect no personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information.
In order to track of the number of visitors and what information on the site is most valued, we do collect information about when and how many visitors come to the site and what pages are most popular.
We do gather individual information when you explicitly provide it. For example, when you provide your name, address, email, etc. to complete a survey, enter a contest, or subscribe to our e-mail newsletter. You may then receive periodic mailings from us. We do not sell, trade, or rent this information.
The "email this item" feature (designated in the top right on every page by a small graphic of an envelope) is an easy way to send items to friends and colleagues by email. The email address(es) that you provide to use this feature will only be used to send the requested article.
If you make a donation to the Trust, we may acknowledge your generosity on our website and in printed materials unless you request at the time of your donation to be acknowledged anonymously. We will also use information you provided to deliver notes of thanks, tax receipts, and other membership benefits.
We may occasionally exchange a list of our donors' names and addresses with other organizations with similar goals. This is a cost-effective way for us to make more people aware of our work, and to introduce you to other worthy organizations. However, members may opt out of such list exchanges by checking a box on our membership and donation forms, or by contacting.
We may disclose personal information if we are required to by law, to protect and defend our rights and property, or to protect the personal safety or property of our users or the public.
When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information, such as financial information, we redirect visitors to a secure outside vendor’s server (currently Paypal).
The Trust is solely responsible for the content of this site, but is in no way responsible for pages that are linked from this site. We encourage you to review the privacy policies posted on linked sites.
If you have any questions or complaints about this site, or feel we are failing to live up to our policies, please
