Crater Lake Trust Announces New Executive Director

CRATER LAKE, OR  – The nonprofit Crater Lake National Park Trust announced today that Ms. Christine Leusch of Driggs, Idaho will begin work April 12 as its new Executive Director. Ms. Leusch replaces current Executive Director Jeff Allen, who is leaving April 30 to pursue other interests.

“It has been an honor to work on behalf of Crater Lake National Park over the past three years,” stated outgoing Executive Director Jeff Allen. “Working with a great board and committed park staff, we have built the organization from an all-volunteer operation to one that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the park, mobilized hundreds of park supporters, and created a rich menu of events and volunteer opportunities to help people better connect with this special place.”

“We greatly appreciate Jeff’s service, and we are thrilled to have recruited Christine to build on the foundation we have laid over the past few years,” stated board chair Bill Thorndike of Medford Fabrication.

Ms. Leusch (photograph available online at http://craterlaketrust.org/about/our-staff-1) has formerly served as Executive Director of the Teton Arts Council, Development Director for the Teton Regional Land Trust, and as a fundraiser and executive for the Museum of Western Colorado, several education charities, and the American Heart Association.

“I have a lifelong passion for National Parks, and Crater Lake is a jewel. I can’t wait to get to work!” noted Ms. Leusch.
